SETTLEMENT FOR PARENTS, MOTHERS, FATHERS, GRANDMOTHERS AND GRANDFATHERS OVER 65
The UK Immigration Rules provide the right of Settlement in the UK for parents, a mother, a father, a grandmother or a grandfather of those people who are Settled in the UK or who are British citizens.
In most cases it is expected that the applicant will be lodging a Settlement application from overseas.
The UK Immigration Rules also allow other dependent relatives under the age of 65 to join their Settled or British sponsors in the UK, but in very limited and exceptional circumstances.
The UK Immigration Rules have changed significantly in July 2012, making it very difficult to bring the parents to the UK. Yet it may still be possible to bring the parents and family members under certain EU route.
